Tyres for next year will be tested this weekend
Pirelli will test next year's tyres at the second free practice session at Suzuka on Friday. In an extra-long practice session, all teams will try out the new tyres. Article continues under ad The second free practice session ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix will run a little differently than usual. The practice will be half an hour longer, ninety minutes instead of sixty, and it will be managed entirely by Pirelli. This is because the Formula 1 tyre manufacturer wants to test prototype tyres for next year.
