Sainz: We're in the renewal phase of next Ferrari contract

While the Formula 1 world focuses on testing ahead of the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix next weekend, behind the scenes at Ferrari the matter of extending Carlos Sainz's contract is a priority. Sainz has ensconced himself well at Ferrari since his arrival, beating Charles Leclerc in the championship after their first F1 season together was a signal of intent from the Spaniard who clearly stated: I am equal number one in this team.
