Brake issues caused ‘frustrating' day for Norris

Lando Norris revealed brake issues with the MCL36 had curtailed his running on day one of the official pre-season test in Bahrain. The Briton had not been expecting to spend the whole day in the car, but that became necessary when his McLaren team-mate Daniel Ricciardo was feeling unwell and had to sit out the first of three days of testing action in the desert. But it turned out the Australian did not miss a huge amount because Norris was able to complete only 50 laps across two four-hour sessions, although his best lap time was good enough for sixth place among the 15 drivers that ran.
