Were Mercedes focused on the 'bigger picture' in Barcelona testing?

Article To news overview © Mercedes Jolyon Palmer believes there were some signs that Mercedes were thinking of the "bigger picture" at the first pre-season test in Barcelona. There was much focus on what Ferrari and McLaren achieved during the recent three-day test, with even the likes of George Russell suggesting that these two teams were ahead of the Silver Arrows. However, Palmer notes that Mercedes were working on practice starts quite early on in the test, as well as being one of the first to do a race simulation run with Lewis Hamilton.
