Drivers in conversation with F1 after disappearance of kneeling moment

February 8, Formula 1 announced that the kneeling moment before the races will disappear in 2022. Sebastian Vettel confessed that he was surprised and Lando Norris cannot accept this decision either. 'Raising awareness can be done in other ways' Formula 1 introduced the 'We Race As One' initiative in 2020, which they use to fight racism and inequality within the sport. Part of this was the pre-race ceremony where drivers showed their support by kneeling. Formula 1 has decided that they will stop this ceremony in 2022, as they want to take action and not just engage in these kinds of gestures.
