Mercedes 'desperate' to test simulations: "If not, we will be ready"

The Formula One teams are currently busy perfecting their bolides for the new season, which introduces major rule changes. For Mercedes, too, it is still a big question mark how its performance will compare with the rest. According to Hywel Thomas, boss of the team's engine department, the engineers are "desperate" to see how the power unit performs in the new W13. The new Formula One cars are different in many areas. For example, the aerodynamics are changing significantly and the teams are experiencing a loss of power due to the new E10 fuel.
