No ‘shock' if Hamilton quits – Brown

Jan.19 Mercedes is pressing ahead with its plans for the 2022 season, despite the uncertainty surrounding Lewis Hamilton's participation. The seven time world champion has maintained strict radio silence in the weeks following his controversial 2021 title loss to Max Verstappen in Abu Dhabi. 'I wouldn't be shocked if Lewis stopped,' McLaren team supremo Zak Brown said this week. 'I don't think anyone should take for granted that he's coming back. 'It is just my personal opinion that he's going to, but I don't think we should discount or not recognise his frustration – his anger,' the American added. 'Maybe he hasn't made a decision yet.
