Verstappen feels the pain: "It is of course terrible"

For Max Verstappen the qualifying on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit ended in tears. The Dutchman was doing a mega lap and was well below Lewis Hamilton's time, but in the last sector, he hit the wall. "It’s of course terrible," was Verstappen's first reaction after qualifying. "We had a good qualifying, it was a bit hard to switch on the tyres around the street circuit but I knew the pace was there and it showed in the last lap." Verstappen loses pole due to crash He continued: "I don’t really understand what happened but I locked up and of course I tried to keep the car on the track and finish the lap, but I clipped the rear and I had to stop."
