McLaren Surprised To Be ‘Genuinely’ Close To Mercedes & Red Bull

McLaren were surprised to be very close to the front-runners at some of the races contested so far this season, Andrea Stella, the team’s racing director, has admitted. The Woking-based racing outfit finished third in last year’s Constructors’ Championship, but they only had the fourth or fifth most-competitive car at most tracks.
