Teams' reactions after opening day for the Austrian Grand Prix

Mercedes were off the pace of their Dutch rival in the first session for this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix, but the fine-tuning and simulator work they have performed since last weekend's Austrian Grand Prix seemed to pay off in the afternoon session. The Anglo-German team hit back to secure a one-two in the second one-hour session, beating championship leader Max Verstappen for the early glory.
