Pirelli to test new rear tyres that 'could handle more'

Next Friday, when the first and second free practice sessions for the Austrian GP take place, the teams will test a new specification Pirelli rear tyre. The new construction should improve robustness. Pirelli itself reports this on its site: "This decision has been taken in addition to the recently issued technical directive and the latest starting parameters prescribed by Pirelli, in light of the fact that it is not currently possible to monitor running conditions in real time."
