Alonso feeling confident after top-five FP2 showing

Fernando Alonso has been encouraged by Alpine's pace on Friday practice in Styria, saying that getting both cars into Q3 is 'achievable' on Saturday. Both Alonso and Esteban Ocon showed a flash of pace around the Red Bull Ring on Friday, ranking P5 and P3 respectively as the teams ran qualifying simulations for the first time in the second free practice session. The double World Champion showed stronger pace at the last race in France, having taken time to adapt to his A521 in the first rounds of the season.
