2021 F1 French Grand Prix - Free Practice 1 results
Article To news overview © Mercedes Valtteri Bottas set the pace at the first practice session in Paul Ricard, leading a Mercedes 1-2 with teammate Lewis Hamilton in second place. Bottas, who suffered front wing damage on his first run, went to the top of the timesheets midway through the session to go 0.335 seconds faster than Hamilton as championship leader Max Verstappen trailed the pair in third. Sergio Perez was fourth, ahead of Alpine's Esteban Ocon and Daniel Ricciardo who had a great morning in sixth. The full results from the first practice session for the French GP can be seen below.
