Hamilton: We underperformed as a team all weekend

Lewis Hamilton admitted that he and his Mercedes colleagues underperformed throughout the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, where he finished in P7. The seven-time world champion was off the pace in qualifying, only quick enough to start the race seventh on the grid, before the team ran a sub-optimal strategy that saw him lose ground to both Sergio Perez and Sebastian Vettel. Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas was forced to retire following a slow pit stop where the crew where unable to remove his front right tyre. The Finn had been running in second position. Speaking after race, Hamilton said that there would be discussions 'in the background' about what went wrong in a bid to put things right....
