Leclerc grid penalty seems likely: Ferrari won't take risks in Monaco

As cool as it would be to start the Monaco Grand Prix from first place, Charles Leclerc should seriously consider that it might not happen on Sunday. Ferrari have announced that they will not take any risks. Starting from P1 means a relatively good chance of winning in the narrow streets of Monte Carlo. With a grid penalty of five places for changing a gearbox, even scoring a podium is very difficult, so it might pay to just take the risk.
