First Pictures: Alfa Romeo run 2022-spec wheels and wheel covers

Article To news overview Alfa Romeo have released pictures of what their car looks like with the new 18 inch wheels fitted, as well as the wheel shrouds that are to be introduced next season. Wheel shrouds were last used in Formula 1 in 2009, but were banned for 2010. The devices, which help with aerodynamic turbulence reduction, return as part of the sweeping changes being introduced in 2022. Robert Kubica is at the wheel of the Alfa mule car in Barcelona, with the team staying on and carrying out 18 inch tyre testing on behalf of Pirelli. While images of other F1 mule cars have already been seen, this is the first time the wheel covers have been seen during the test programme.
