Briatore: Ferrari's goal is always next year

Article To news overview Although Ferrari have had a solid start to the 2021 F1 season, Flavio Briatore doesn't think the team are fighting for the right goals despite having two talented drivers like Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. The Scuderia have scored points at both races with both cars, a sight that was all too rare last season. While a push for the title isn't realistic, it does look as though Ferrari are heading in the right direction ahead of major rule changes in 2022. However Briatore believes that isn't good enough for a team of Ferrari's stature, as he believes they should always be pushing for top spot rather than third or fourth in the standings.
