Alonso - Defeating Ferrari in Italy "never a good thing"
Ian Parkes & Ewan Gale Friday 16 April 2021 08:10 Fernando Alonso has playfully suggested defeating Ferrari in Italy is "never a good thing" ahead of this weekend's race at Imola even though the famous Tifosi are not in the grandstands this year. Alonso, who now drives for Alpine, beat Ferrari's Michael Schumacher at the track in 2005 when he was driving for Renault in what was one of F1's most memorable races. Article continues under video The Spaniard went on to drive for Ferrari himself between 2010 and 2014 but never raced for the team at Imola and, after missing the track's return last season, is back there for the first time since it was dropped in 2007.
