Report: 2021 Monaco Grand Prix to go ahead with fans

The 2021 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix is expected to go ahead with up to a 50% capacity crowd, according to Motorsport.com. Scheduled for May 23, construction of the circuit has already started and the organisers are hoping to welcome up to 50% of the usual number of fans. The race was scrubbed from the calendar last season in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, but had its return confirmed when the 2021 schedule was announced late last year. Motorsport.com report that the presale of tickets has now begun, although how supporters will be arranged to ensure social distancing is still to be decided. It is not yet clear what other restrictions could be in place for supporters attending the race.
