Bottas claims there was no way back after pitstop blunder

Article To news overview © Mercedes Valtteri Bottas has claimed that there was no way he could finish any higher in today's Bahrain Grand Prix, after a very slow pitstop hampered his early progress. The Finnish driver showed some decent pace in the opening stages, managing to match both Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen in terms of lap times after repassing Charles Leclerc. However, any possibility of getting in the mix for the race win went out of the window after a calamitous pitstop, in which an issue with the left front tyre caused him to be stationary for over 10 seconds. "I think, yeah, this long pitstop unfortunately cost me quite a lot today," Bottas told Sky Sports F1....
