'F1 might simply replace the Hamilton era with a Verstappen era'

F1 journalist Mark Hughes says Lewis Hamilton's new contract could usher in the 'Max Verstappen era'. According to Hughes, we should not be surprised if Hamilton retires from Formula 1 after 2021 and we see Verstappen replacing him at Mercedes. New era in the making "Regardless of whether Mercedes continues to be the dominant team in any post-Hamilton future or whether its superiority is overhauled, Hamilton’s one-year contract may come to be seen as the signpost to a new era", Hughes wrote on The-Race.com.
