From boasting to modesty at Alpine? CEO's expectations for 2021
Luca de Meo is CEO of the Renault group and therefore also directs the Formula 1 branch, which has continued under the name Alpine since this year. De Meo is remarkably modest about the ambitions for the coming year in Formula 1. No big words Where previously the French team often blew their tops off about the upcoming results, at Red Bull they are good at talking about it, the tone for next year is different. CEO De MEO even talks about a gap year: "What we expect from this year, a transition year, is mainly brand awareness. A team that will regularly appear in the newspapers and on television".
