Mercedes sets launch date for 2021 F1 challenger

Mercedes has revealed that its 2021 Formula 1 car, the W12, will be unveiled during a digital launch on March 2. Mercedes has not been beaten to a Formula 1 title since 2014, when new turbo hybrid regulations were introduced, and is aiming for an unprecedented eighth successive crown this year. World Champion Lewis Hamilton has yet to sign a new deal, but is expected to stay, while Valtteri Bottas has already been confirmed for 2021. Under Formula 1 regulations teams have carried over large parts of their 2020 cars but tweaks to the rules have led to changes during the off-season.
