Ferrari contracts Ilott as third driver

Calum Ilott has been confirmed by Ferrari as their third driver. Earlier today the 22-year-old Briton drove for Alfa Romeo in the Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi, but from now on he can start working for the big brother Ferrari. Exciting year Ilott drove last season in Formula 2 and became second behind champion Mick Schumacher who will be on the grid for Haas in 2021. "I am very excited to become the new Ferrari test driver. There is still a lot to learn, 2021 will be an exciting year and an important step towards a regular Formula 1 seat for me", says Ilott at Speedweek.com.
