Fernando Alonso tops times in post-season young driver test

Renault driver Fernando Alonso went fastest during the Formula 1 post-season young driver test in Abu Dhabi, with a best lap time of 1.36.333. Alonso, who returns to the sport on a full-time basis next season, completed 105 laps of the Yas Marina circuit and was two tenths clear of Mercedes driver Nyck de Vries in second. Stoffel Vandoorne, who drives alongside De Vries for the Mercedes Formula E team, was third fastest, with Robert Kubica fourth in the Alfa Romeo. Yuki Tsonoda was fifth fastest for AlphaTauri, with Juri Vips sixth for Red Bull, while Antonio Fuoco, Callum Ilott, Guanyu Zhou and Jack Aitken rounded out the top 10.
