Alonso to demonstrate restored title-winning R25 in Abu Dhabi

Fernando Alonso will carry out demonstration runs in a restored Renault R25 at this weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which will be the last for the Renault name in Formula 1. The first of two Constructors’ Championships for Renault came in 2005 with the R25, a car that claimed eight wins courtesy of Alonso and team-mate Giancarlo Fisichella. The R25 has been resorted across the last couple of years and will run in Abu Dhabi, after initial plans to demonstrate the car at the French Grand Prix were abandoned due to the pandemic.
