There's no pressure, insists Russell
George Russell insists there is no special pressure this weekend as he deputises for Lewis Hamilton, revealing that 'the call' from Toto Wolff came at 2 am on Tuesday. After two tough seasons with Williams, George Russell finally gets to show F1 fans what he can really do if given the opportunity, albeit at the expense of Lewis Hamilton. While Stoffel Vandoorne is Mercedes official reserve driver, it was to Russell that Toto Wolff turned on learning that Hamilton would miss this weekend's Sakhir Grand Prix after testing positive for COVID.
