Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton: Road to Seventh F1 title
It was fitting that Lewis Hamilton earned his record-equalling Formula 1 world championship with the best drive of the season and one of his best ever, his tenth of a season packed with stellar performances, raising his game when required. On Sunday, starting sixth on the grid, the 35-year-old delivered an exhibition in tyre management and mastery of tricky, wet conditions to seal his 94th win and a seventh title. While his teammate Valtteri Bottas spun five times on a treacherous track, Lewis managed to keep his intermediate tyres intact for 52 laps and advance gradually while his rivals around him tripped up or simply could not match his pace.
