Drivers warned over track limits at Istanbul Park

Formula 1 drivers have been warned that their lap times will be invalidated if they exceed track limits at the first or last corners at Istanbul Park this weekend. Formula 1 is returning to the 14-turn circuit after a nine-year absence as part of a calendar that has been heavily overhauled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The FIA has policed track limits at the majority of this year’s grands prix in order to ensure no driver gains an advantage through running wide. Stewards have monitored the specified areas in place of kerbs that can potentially cause damage to Formula 1 cars.
