Verstappen: "It's a pity for the fans"

It was a frustrating day for fans as they were void of any action on Friday of the Eifel Grand Prix. Max Verstappen has admitted his frustration for the paying fans but understands the decisions the FIA had to make. "It's a pity for the fans," said the Dutchman on Verstappen.nl. However, the 23-year-old understands that the FIA could not give the drivers permission to drive the German track in the harsh weather. "At last they are allowing fans in and then it's a shame we can't drive. But we have to accept that the medical helicopter cannot fly in these conditions."
