Imola granted approval for 13,147 fans at Emilia Romagna GP

Organisers of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix have been granted permission by local authorities to allow over 13,000 spectators to attend the event each day. Formula 1 will return to Imola after 14-year absence for a condensed two-day weekend on 31 October/1 November. It will do so under the Emilia Romagna moniker, in deference to the region in which Imola is located, after the event previously held the San Marino name. The event will be the third to take place in Italy in the coronavirus-hit 2020 campaign after rounds at Monza and Mugello. No spectators were permitted to attend the opening seven rounds but a select group of doctors were present at Monza while up to 2,800 people per day were...
