Max Verstappen tops FP2, Daniel Ricciardo second

Max Verstappen took top spot in the second practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix. The Dutchman topped FP2 ahead of Daniel Ricciardo who threw up a little bit of a surprise for Renault and Lewis Hamilton in third. In a frantic end to the fast lap period of the session, Verstappen managed to pull out the fastest of the lot with a 1:43.744. Verstappen finished third during the opening session of the weekend but well and truly halted what looked to be complete Mercedes dominance to take P1.  Ricciardo's P2 was even more of a surprise after finishing down in ninth during FP1.
