Racing Point model unaffected by new copying rules

Racing Point boss Otmar Szafnauer says the FIA's updated regulations on car copying will have 'zero impact' on their team model. The team have caused quite a stir with their ‘pink Mercedes' and both Racing Point, along with Ferrari and Renault have lodged appeals over the 400,000 Euros fine and 15-point deduction handed to Racing Point for using illegal rear brake ducts. There is no denying that the RP20 is a near copy of the Mercedes W10, but the team insisted they did all that through photography and reverse engineering.
