Leclerc set to drop to P14 after grid penalty

Charles Leclerc will drop to 14th position on the Styrian Grand Prix grid after he was handed a penalty for impeding Daniil Kvyat. Stewards deemed that Leclerc baulked his AlphaTauri rival in Q2 in wet conditions at the Red Bull Ring. Leclerc, who qualified only 11th as Ferrari’s struggles continued, was issued with a three-place demotion. His penalty elevates Williams’ George Russell, Racing Point’s Lance Stroll, as well as Kvyat.
