Hamilton felt Albon clash was a ‘racing incident'

Lewis Hamilton took full responsibility for his qualifying infraction but felt his latest collision with Alex Albon in Austria was a racing incident. Hamilton was hit with a very late three-place grid drop after Red Bull protested the FIA decision to take no further action against him for allegedly failing to slow under yellow flags in Q3 on Saturday. The defending World Champion, who started P5, was then hit with another penalty in the latter stages of the race – a five-second penalty after causing a collision with Alex Albon who, on fresher tyres, was looking to overtake Hamilton for P2 following a Safety Car period.
