Ocon would be 'very happy' to have Alonso as Renault teammate

Renault's Esteban Ocon says he would welcome Fernando Alonso to the French outfit with open arms next year. Ocon returns to F1 this season after a year on the sidelines, having secured a two-year contract with Renault. But Daniel Ricciardo's move to McLaren for 2021 means that there's a seat up for grabs at Renault, and one that could be of interest to Alonso according to the Spaniard's manager Flavio Briatore. The flamboyant Italian started promoting his protégé's ambitions in May, insisting the two-time world champion, who conquered both is world titles with Renault in 2005 and 2006, was now "detoxed" and ready to return to Grand Prix racing.
