''Without the lower budget cap, we would have had fewer manufacturers''

Ross Brawn, Chase Carey and the Liberty Media team have done their utmost to get the budget cap in Formula 1. A cap that, according to Brawn, has enabled us to start with ten teams in 2020. As of 2021 there will be a budget cap of 145 million dollars in Formula 1. The cap was initially set at $175 million, but the coronavirus removed $30 million from the cap. An important victory for the sport, which according to Brawn otherwise would have lost teams in the coming seasons.
