Over the years 29 May has been another busy day of racing on both sides of the pond, with F1 races literally across the globe and several Indy 500s over the years. Stirling Moss took an historic 1960 Monaco victory driving a rear-mid engined Rob Walker Racing Lotus-Climax to Lotus’ first Grand Prix win over Bruce McLaren’s Cooper-Climax and Phil Hill’s Ferrari. Moving across to Mexico in 1988, Alain Prost beat McLaren-Honda teammate Ayrton Senna to second with Gerhard Berger third in a Ferrari. It was back to Europe for the 1994 Spanish Grand Prix, where Damon Hill ‘s victory and a Barcelona circuit urgently revised in the interests of safety, was small comfort to a Williams...
