Saturday cancelled at Suzuka; Qualifying set for Sunday

Japanese Grand Prix – Formula 1 has confirmed that Saturday's running at Suzuka will not go ahead. Qualifying has been rescheduled for Sunday. As a result on the incoming typhoon that will hit Japan on Saturday, Formula 1 has moved to cancel all Saturday running at Suzuka. Typhoon Hagibis is a major storm event that will batter the country throughout Saturday and, as a result, F1 has rejigged the schedule to ensure the safety of everyone at Suzuka. The FIA and Formula 1 support this decision in the interest of safety for the spectators, competitors and everyone at the Suzuka Circuit.
