McLaren's Gil de Ferran Hails Alonso's Pace As ‘Quite Incredible'
McLaren F1 Team‘s sporting director Gil de Ferran says he's very happy with the team's result at the Singapore Grand Prix, describing Fernando Alonso‘s pace as ‘quite incredible'. The Spaniard clinched seventh place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, finishing ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr., Charles Leclerc and Nico Hülkenberg as the best of the rest in the field. Stoffel Vandoorne started the race down in eighteenth place, after another Qualifying One exit. But the Belgian produced promising pace and executed a clean race to finish in twelfth overall.
