Vettel ahead of Hamilton, Verstappen crashes out – FP2 Report

British Grand Prix – Sebastian Vettel led free practice two for the first time this year as Ferrari and Mercedes look set to battle it out for the British Grand Prix win. With Mercedes and Ferrari closely-matched in the qualifying and race simulations, Ferrari's Vettel beat Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton to free practice two honours. His lap time of 1:27.552 was enough to beat Hamilton by less than two tenths of a second, with Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas and Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen within half-a-second of the benchmark. Red Bull appeared to be off the front-running pace this weekend; Daniel Ricciardo was almost nine tenths adrift and Max Verstappen hampered their FP2 session by crashing out...
