Marko says Red Bull are "closer" to signing Daniel Ricciardo

Dr Helmut Marko claims Red Bull are "closer" to re-signing Australian Daniel Ricciardo for the 2019 season. The 29-year-old was linked with McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes in previous weeks. But now, his current team looks likely to be his destination. Last week, Red Bull had announced their deal with Honda which will start next season. Marko says the team can focus on the drivers' contracts now that is out of the way. "We've had more discussions recently we're getting closer to each other.
