Mercedes AMG F1 Debrief of the French GP

The French GP was back on the F1 calendar after ten years. The Mercedes AMG F1 team was back in form after a disappointing Canadian GP. Lewis Hamilton won the race and is back on top of the drivers' championship. Hamilton has a 14-point lead over Sebastian Vettel now. Valtteri Bottas finished seventh after a first lap incident with Vettel. The Finn was tagged by Vettel at Turn 1 and suffered a rear tire puncture. Bottas pitted under the Safety Car and rejoined at the back of the field. Mercedes started 1-2 from the grid and potentially could have finished in that order. But it was not to be.
