Ex-Ferrari design chief signs for Sauber

Former Ferrari chief designer Simone Resta has signed on with Sauber to become a technical director at the team. Ferrari reported that Resta had left the team mere hours before Sauber announced he would be joining them from July 1st. He will replace Jorg Zander who left his role with the team several weeks back and will answer directly to team principal Fred Vasseur. The team boss said that the signing was a big step for the Sauber team. “Simone Resta has the best profile to take on the role of Technical Director,” Vasseur said. “His arrival at Sauber marks a significant step ahead of a long-term project that aims at strengthening the Sauber team in order to achieve...
