Abiteboul: I'm sure we can attract someone like Ricciardo
Daniel Ricciardo is very much the man of the moment in Formula 1, he has still to sort out a contract for next year amid reports of contact with Ferrari and now a door is has been swung open with the Renault team should the Aussie decide to walk away from Red Bull at the end of the season. The French manufacturer's motorsport boss Cyril Abiteboul is aiming to make his team an attractive prospect to top drivers, and said ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix weekend, 'We are interested in talented drivers, and Ricciardo is a talented driver.'
