2018 Bahrain Grand Prix: Starting grid

Sebastian Vettel will start from pole position for the 2018 Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday, with Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen second and Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas third. Lewis Hamilton was hit with a five-place grid penalty and drops from his fourth place qualifying position down to ninth, promoting Daniel Ricciardo, Pierre Gasly, Kevin Magnussen, Nico Hulkenberg and Esteban Ocon a position each. Tenth to 20th remain unchanged from their qualifying positions – though Red Bull have yet to confirm if Max Verstappen will start from the grid of pitlane following his Q1 crash.
