Formula 1: Sergey Sirotkin named as Williams driver
Russian Sergey Sirotkin has joined Williams to fill the final place on the 2018 Formula 1 grid. The 22-year-old will make his F1 debut after beating Pole Robert Kubica to the seat following the analysis of a test by both drivers at the end of last season. Sirotkin will partner Canadian Lance Stroll, 19, giving Williams the least experienced line-up on the grid. Deputy team principal Claire Williams said she was "confident" about the two. She added she was "excited to see what next season brings". The line-up of Sirotkin and Stroll is likely to draw criticism as being made up of two 'pay drivers' - competitors who owe their position to the amount of money they can bring...
