Dan Gurney passes away, aged 86
Former Formula 1 driver Dan Gurney has died at the age of 86. The F1, Nascar and Indycar race winner passed away on Sunday, due to complications from pneumonia. His family released a statement on Sunday to announce the news of his death: “With one last smile on his handsome face, Dan drove off into the unknown just before noon today, January 14, 2018. In deepest sorrow, with gratitude in our hearts for the love and joy you have given us during your time on this earth, we say ‘Godspeed.’” The American driver made his debut in Formula 1 in 1959, racing for the likes of Ferrari, Porsche, Brabham and McLaren, as well as racing as his own manufacturer – ‘Eagle', which made...
