Valtteri Bottas wins 2017 season finale in Abu Dhabi
Valtteri Bottas claimed a lights to flag victory in Abu Dhabi to round off a strong 2017 season for the Finnish driver in his maiden season with Mercedes. Bottas held off team-mate Lewis Hamilton's advances which mostly came in the closing laps, although the pair were rarely split by more than a handful of seconds during the entire grand prix. Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel was third to claim his 99th career podium finish, but couldn't challenge the Mercedes cars which were in another league, finishing 19 seconds adrift.
