FIA unveils ‘ADUO' to prevent 2026 engine imbalance
Oct.17 The FIA has announced a new system designed to prevent any single engine manufacturer from dominating Formula 1 when the radical 2026 regulations begin – introducing the concept of 'Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities' (ADUO). The move was confirmed following a World Motor Sport Council meeting chaired by FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who joined the session via video from the federation's new London office.
